IWhat does 1:1 mean?

This is a term that means that every individual student at Wilmington High School will be provided a personal Chromebook for his/her educational needs while attending WHS.  (1 device: 1 student)

Why is Wilmington High School going 1:1?
It is important that every student graduating from Wilmington High School has the tools to help them succeed.  The technology device allows students to create, innovate explore, develop, research and collaborate with efficiency.  Providing students the opportunity to use technology on a daily basis will prepare them for the skills they will need for life after graduation.  

How will Chromebooks impact learning?
Through the web and the thousands of educator-approved apps, books, and videos in Google Play for Education (currently available to US K-12 schools), students have access to a world of information and educational tools.

What is special about Chromebooks?
Chromebooks enable students to learn at school or on-the-go. We call this Anytime/Anywhere learning.  The devices boot up in less than 8 seconds and have over 10 hours of battery life, making them ideal for schools. hem ideal for schools.
